David joined the Rollins baseball staff as an assistant coach in the 2025-26 school year. In his role, he is in charge of the team's catchers, helps with hitting, and provides valuable scouting reports for future opponents. Pereira also coaches first base.
Pereira played one season for Rollins in 2025 after transferring from USC Upstate. He appeared in 19 games for the Tars, hitting .282 with 11 hits, 11 runs, two doubles and four RBI. He earned his Masters in Strategic Communications.Â
Prior to his time in Winter Park, Pereira played two seasons at USC-Upstate where he had a .266 average across 93 games. He also played two years of JUCO ball winning a FCSSA State Championship with Miami Dade in 2021 and College of Central Florida in 2022. He played 52 games for the Patriots in 2022, helping them to an appearance in the JUCO World Series.Â
