2017 (Freshman): 2^nd Team All-SSC… Made 17 appearances on the hill for the Tars, starting in 11 contests… first on the team with six wins… compiled a 4.11 ERA in 70 innings pitched, to go along with 57 strikeouts… earned one shut out on the year. 

High School: Attended Tampa Catholic High School where he helped the Crusaders become District Champions two times, with three regional final appearances…Four time highest GPA award winner…four year varsity letterman…two time Cy Young Award winner…Also played club baseball with the Orlando Scorpions of Altamonte Springs where he helped his team become the 17U Perfect Game World Series Champions

Personal: Son of Roland Chacon Sr. and MaryEllen Chacon…AJ has one sister, Angelica…Majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Business Management…plans to attend medical school and open his own practice…Chose Rollins because of the history of successful graduates and he wanted to compete in the Sunshine State Conference
