WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (September 19, 2026) - Women's soccer continued their recent offensive barrage, this time taking down the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on the road by a score of 4-1. The Tars now stand at 5-2, 2-0 SSC on the year, while the Sailfish drop to 3-2-2, 0-1-1 SSC.
Palm Beach Atlantic actually struck first in this one when Kelsi Bennett fed Kendall Popp in the 22nd minute for her third goal of the year. They would hold the lead until the 42nd minute.
Victoria Pou Varona crossed a ball into the box that was headed by
Harmoni Thomas and saved. However, the rebound went straight to
Carolina Ameglio, who knocked it past the stunned keeper for her first of the season.Â
After the halftime break, Rollins was right back at it. Following a throw in,
Gabby Boyd pilfered the ball from a Sailfish defender, took two dribbles and then launched a bender from about 25 yards out that went just past the outstretched arm of the keeper to give Rollins a 2-1 lead.Â
Just four minutes later, a lazy pass from the Palm Beach Atlantic defense was intercepted by Khunnita Chamrouen, and quickly struck through the bottom left of the net to make it a 3-1 game.
Rollins put the icing on the cake in the 78th minute. While controlling possessio in the PBA side of the field,
Bella Robinson delivered a perfect cross into the box, where Pou Varona was waiting. She timed a header perfectly, smashing it into the net for her first brace of the season, making the final of 4-1.Â
The Tars put 9 of their 17 shots on target in this one, and dominated corners by a tally of 9-0.
Lauren Mehos had four saves in the win.Â
Rollins will be back at home for their next match against Embry-Riddle on Wednesday, September 23rd. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm.Â
