Tars Take Second at Weather-Shortened Flagler Fall Slam

Unplayable course conditions canceled Tuesday's final round

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (October 27, 2026) - Women's golf did not have a chance to secure their second win of the fall as the third and final round of the Flagler Fall Slam was canceled before play began on Tuesday. After two rounds on Monday, the Tars were in second place, three shots back of the host Saints.

Monday morning saw windy conditions, including gusts of over 35 miles per hour. Still, the Tars came ready to play. Alisha Rametra handed in the top card for Rollins in round one, posting a 73 (+1). She birdied three of her first nine holes in the round, and added eleven pars as well. Kaitlyn Hummers matched her teammate, using a strong finish of 35 (-1) on the back nine to get her score to 73 as well. Her four birdies in the round led the Tars. Youyang Li had a steady effort, carding sixteen pars, a bogey, and a double-bogey to finish at 75 (+3). Addy Vogt rounded out the scoring with a 77 (+5). She was near the top of the leaderboard through 11, thanks to three birdies in a four hole stretch at one point, but had a tough finish to her day.

"I am extremely proud of this group. The 36-hole day was a true test and conditions were tough," remarked head coach Krissy Carman. "They battled through 24 mph constant winds with 35 mph gusts. Leading into the day. I was honest with them and told them it was going to be brutal, but the same for everyone. If we overcome that and accept it for what it is and focus on what we can control, then we will be successful. They really took that and ran with it. I couldn't be happier with their attitudes and commitment throughout the day"

After a quick break, the ladies were back out for the second round. Rametra used the same formula for record an identical 73 on the scorecard in the afternoon session. She again had three birdies in the round, including a clutch putt on hole two (her 18th) to finish the round. She was matched by a teammate again; this time it was Lindsay Lee. Lee shot a 78 (+6) in the first round, but made some great adjustments to finish round two with four birdies en route to her 73. Hummers was one shot back of her teammates with a 74 (+2) that included one birdie and 14 pars. Li added a 76 (+4) to finish the team score. Vogt shot a 77 (+5) in her second effort.

Rollins finished second behind Flagler, who shot 295 (+7) and 296 (+8) to squeak past the Tars (298 (+10), 296 (+8)). Savannah College of Art & Design took third, followed by NAIA Keiser in fourth and #30 Lynn in fifth.

"Feeling disappointed for the team that they didn't get the opportunity to compete for the win today," added Carman. "However, they were ready. Their intensity and willingness to adapt to whatever was going to come their way today was exactly what they needed to be successful."

Flagler's Kalia Polete was the individual champion with a 73+70=143 (-1). Rametra tied for third with her score of 146 (+2). Hummers tied for seventh, one shot back of Rametra, at 147 (+3). Li added another Top 20 to her resume with a T14th finish (151, +7) while Lee had the same result as well. Vogt tied for 25th at 154 (+10).

Carman added, "I'm very proud of Alisha, who was named all-tournament team and was able to bring home some hardware."

Madison Malaret played as an individual and ended up tied for 21st with a 153 (+9). Sophia Fondenaer also competed as an individual, ending with a score of 167 (+23) for 66th place.

"Overall, I am so grateful for these ladies. They are great teammates to one another and have an awesome bond. I love how each one has had their moment throughout this fall season and excited for what is to come this spring. They are definitely motivated to start the spring season back at Flagler this upcoming February."

Rollins will return to St. Augustine to open the spring season at Flagler's World Golf Hall of Fame Invitational, held at Slammer and Squire February 8-9.
