ORLANDO, Fla. (October 27, 2026) - The Sunshine State Conference announced their soccer players of the week on Tuesday morning. Among the honorees was junior striker
Finlay Prain, who wins Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Rollins faced an important matchup with first place Florida Tech on Wednesday. After falling behind early, Prain equalized the score at 1-1 in the 18th minute with a beautiful strike from across the box to the far post. Them, five minutes later, he displayed impeccable footwork, navigating the ball around four Tech defenders before unleashing a rocket into the goal for his second of the match.
Florida Tech battled back, and took a 3-2 lead with less than ten minutes to play. Prain was able to work his magic one final time, receiving a perfect pass from
Pedro Lameiras before smashing in his third goal of the game with only 40 seconds on the clock to salvage a draw for the Tars.
In Saturday's game at North Georgia, Prain added one shot on goal, and did not see action in the second half.
Prain leads the SSC in shots (61), shots on goal (40), and is second in goals scored (15). PBA's Kobi Thomas has 17, but four of them came against a NAIA opponent.
The Tars will wrap up their regular season on Thursday when they host Saint Leo. Rollins needs a win or a draw to earn a berth in the SSC tournament.
