The Rollins Athletic Department, in conjunction with Institutional Advancement, has launched the fifth annual Tars Cup Challenge. The goal of the event is to raise $200,000 to benefit the department as a whole, with gifts made to each of our 21 varsity sports.
Not only does the event raise money for athletics, it also provides a competition between the teams. There is an additional $10,000 in bonuses that will be paid out to the following:
- The team with the largest increase in dollars raised compared to last year will receive $5,000!
- The team with the highest overall donor count will receive $2,500!
- The team with the highest percentage of alumni donors will receive $1,500!
- The team with the highest number of advocate-generated gifts will receive $1,000!
Last year, 509 generous donors gifted a total of $294,413 to support Tars athletics. Men's lacrosse has the most individual donors, while rowing raised the most money as a team.
