Elizabeth Kondal. Rollins sat in a tie for fifth after day one.Â
Rametra was the low-score on the team card on Monday in round two with an even par that included 14 pars. Docherty was right behind her with a 73, while Alvarez turned in a 76 and
Sarah Knitter offered a 77. The Tars were in fourth place after Monday's round.Â
The final round on Tuesday saw Rametra put together one of the best performances in the history of the SSC tournament. On the front nine, she posted three birdies and one bogey for a 33. The back nine saw the freshman shine as she went bogey-free with six pars and three birdies; two of those birdies came in the most clutch moment, on 17 and 18 ,to close out the round.
Her 66 for the day (-5) is the second-lowest round in the history of the SSC Championship. Her even par finish of 213Â is tied for the 11th best finish in the event's history.Â
Alvarez also earned a top-five finish with a 217 (+4). In her four years at Rollins, Alvarez finished in the Top 5 twice (3rd in 2022) and in the Top 10 all four years. Only eleven SSC athletes have had four Top 10 finishes in the SSC tournament.Â
Nova Southeastern won the team title with a 868, besting Lynn (882) and the Tars (883).Â
The strong finish should be enough to place Rollins in the NCAA South Regional in May. The tournament will be played at Chatahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia May 5-7.Â
