ORLANDO, Fla. (February 25, 2025) - Women's tennis continued their recent hot streak, sweeping the Charleston Golden Eagles 7-0 on Tuesday. The Tars improve to 3-3 on the year, while the Golden Eagles suffer their first loss of the year, and now sit at 7-1.

Amina Taibi rolled with a 6-2 win. However, Charleston answered back with an equal 6-2 win on court three. That put all eyes on the feature court where

Polina Vlasova used an extra set to capture a 7-5 win.
Singles play saw Rollins sweep all six courts. Taibi wrapped up first on court two with a quick 6-1, 6-1 win against Conner.
Nina Mitrofanova was next in line, securing a 6-4, 6-2 victory on number five. The Tars then secured the match point with a 7-5, 6-4 win on number four courtesy of
Milla Falster.
All courts continued to play despite the match being decided.
Polina Vlasova was in an epic battle on three as it took a tremendous effort to come away with a 6-4, 3-6, 13-11 win. Abduloeva found herself locked in to a tough match as well, especially after falling 7-6 (9) in the first set. She bounced back with a 6-0 sweep in set two, and grabbed the win with a 10-6 effort in set three. The day wrapped up on one when
Nancy Liu fought through a three-setter of her own, winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Next up for the Tars is a home match on Friday when conference foe Saint Leo rolls into town. The Tars and #15 Lions will serve up at 1:00 pm from the USTA National Campus on February 28.
