WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 19, 2025) – The Rollins women's basketball team dropped a 69-38 decision to visiting Eckerd on Wednesday night. With the loss, the Tars fall to 8-16 overall, 3-14 in SSC play, while the Tritons improve to 17-7, 12-6 in conference games.
Emily McIntosh led the Tars with eight points while
Aaliyah Irizarry-Perez pulled down a game-high seven rebounds and
Claire Erickson dished out a team-leading three assists to go along with a pair of steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter
- Halfway through the opening quarter the Tritons had built a 12-3 lead, and the visitors led 18-9 after the first 10 minutes.
Second Quarter
- Eckerd increased its lead to as many as 16 points in the second quarter, eventually heading to the locker room with a 32-19 advantage.
Third Quarter
- Rollins couldn't get going offensively in the third as the Tritons pushed the margin to 55-28 by the end of the period.
Fourth Quarter
- The Tars never found a rhythm in the closing minutes as Eckerd left with a 69-38 victory.
