LAKELAND, Fla. (February 23, 2023) - Rollins continued their strong start to the 2023 season with a SSC road win over Florida Southern in Lakeland on Thursday. The Tars now stand at 3-1 on the year with an unblemished 2-0 mark against SSC foes.
The doubles point was the first up for grabs, and the Mocs jumped out to an early lead by grabbing the win on court one. Moments later, Rollins found themselves in the win column on court three where

Richard Stoiberer took down Danny Thomas/Inaki Braun Simo, 6-4. All eyes then turned to court two where

Guillermo Castaneda needed extra time to defeat Mario Garoz/Ryan Rajakar, 7-6 (5).
Efe Comu grabbed the second point of the day for the Tars with a court one win against Chris Fok Kow, 6-1, 6-3. A third point went to Rollins on court six when Stenzer defeated Matteo Feggi, 6-1, 6-2. The Tars then clinched the match on court two when
Luke Quaynor conquered Simo with a score of 7-5, 6-1.
Southern grabbed two points on courts three and four, but Rollins added one more to their ledger for good measure on court five where Stoiberer went long against Elliott Altman, winning the match 4-6, 7-6(6), 10-6.
That's three straight wins for Rollins who are about to enter a gauntlet of matches at home. It all begins this Saturday, February 25, when they host Bates College. First serve is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
