Rollins went 4-1-1 in their abbreviated season

TAMPA, Fla. (April 9, 2021) – The Tars closed their spring season with a convincing 2-0 win over the No. 21 Tampa Spartans.  Rollins went 4-1-1 in their abbreviated season.  Tampa falls to 2-1-1 overall.

Rollins was paced by Dominic Admoakoh, who tallied the game's first goal, then assisted on the second score.  Georgios Koliniatis also found the back of the net.  Abdiel Martinez made a pair of saves, earning the clean sheet, while playing the full 90 minutes in net.

The Tars peppered the goal in the first half, forcing three saves out the Spartans keeper.  Finally, Rollins got on the scoreboard, just three minutes before the break.   Dominic Adomakoh hit a volley from outside the box that rocketed into the back of the net.  Rollins took the lead into the break.

Georgios Koliniatis would double the Tars lead at the 78 minute mark.  Rollins defense held the Spartans back, as they upped the pressure in the final moments.  The Spartans fired off seven second half shots, but only managed to put two on target.  The backline also bottled the Spartans during five second half corner kick opportunities, as Rollins took the 2-0 lead through the final whistle.
