WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 17, 2021) – Rollins will finish their 2021 campaign at 5-4, and 5-4 in Sunshine State Conference play, after a 4-3 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic at the Bert Martin Tennis Complex. The Sailfish will end their season at 1-8 overall.

Palm Beach Atlantic put Rollins on the back foot early, winning the doubles point. The Sailfish got wins on the second and third courts to secure the score. The Rollins pair of
Alexandra Borg and
Georgina Groth, ranked as the No. 6 doubles pair in the nation, avoided the sweep, taking the top court match 7-6 (3).

The Tars stormed back, taking the first four singles decisions, to seal the victory.Â
Kaitlynn Groves got the run started with a dominating effort on the third court. The sophomore sailed to a 6-1, 6-1 win.Â
Polina Vlasova put the Tars in front with a straight set victory of her own, 6-4, 6-1, on the fourth court. Borg pushed the Tars to the brink, controlling the second court on her way to a 6-2, 6-3 decision. Her doubles partner, Groth, tallied the clinching point, winning 7-5, 6-4 in the first position. The Sailfish tallied consolation victories on the fifth and sixth courts, as the match finished with Rollins ahead 4-3.
