BOCA RATON, FL. (March 18, 2021) - The No. 5 Tars started their week on the road against Sunshine State Conference opponent Lynn. Rollins swept the Fighting Knights 3-1 and 8-0 on Thursday afternoon, staying undefeated. Rollins improves to 6-0 on the year, and 4-0 in SSC action, while the Fighting Knights remain winless, 0-6 overall, 0-4 in conference play.

Rollins started the scoring in the top of the second.
Ashley Troutman helped teammate
Raiven Bryant across the plate for the game's first point. Bryant reached on a walk before advancing on a Lynn error. Troutman hit a single to left field and Bryant ran home to score for the Tars.
Lynn would pull the score even in the fourth, but the Tars responded quickly, regaining the lead in the top of the fifth. Troutman doubled to get on base, before the big bat of
Chelsea Peace sent the ball over the centerfield fence, giving Rollins a 3-1 advantage. The Tars would seal the game with stellar defense, securing the series opening win.
Ashley Worrell kept the Tars on top with another strong pitching performance. She struck out three batters, allowing four hits and only one run.

Rollins defeated the Fighting Knights ending the, 8-0, game early with another dominating win.
Rollins put up crooked numbers in both of the first two innings. In the top of the first
Chelsea Peace put the Tars ahead with her second homerun of the day. The homerun from Peace would again push
Ashley Troutman across home plate.
Ashley Worrell followed Peace with another home run. The back-to-back shots gave Rollins a 3-0 lead after one frame.
In the top of second Troutman doubled to center, sending Bryant across home plate, scoring the fourth run for the Tars. Worrell then hit another long shot. The junior's second homerun of the game cleared the left center field wall, gave her three RBI on the evening, and put Rollins up 6-0.
Lynn mistakes paved the way for Rollins to end the game after five innings. In the fifth,
Grace Germer singled before advancing on a wild pitch. Germer scored, and
Amy Hills circled the base all the way to third after a throwing error by the Fighting Knight third baseman. Hills gave Rollins their eighth tally on a sacrifice fly by Bryant. Lynn threatened to extend the game with a two out double in the bottom of the fifth, but Rollins buckled down to register the final out.
Ali Shenefield won her third game of the season. Striking out six batters, only allowed four hits and zero runs. The freshman has tossed 19 scoreless innings to start the season.
