Tars Struggle in First Spring Match

Rollins fell to the No. 16 Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 6-1

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 14, 2021) – After being unable to play in the fall, Rollins struggled in their first action in more than a year, falling to the No. 16 Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 6-1.

Nazar Tsaruk tallied the lone Rollins goal, his first score in the Blue in Gold.

Tsaruk fired Rollins into the lead early, scoring with a long range effort in the sixth minute.  The Sailfish would pull the Tars back just two minutes later, equalizing in the eighth minute.  Before the halftime whistle the Sailfish would find the back of the net two more times to take a 3-1 lead into the break.  Palm Beach Atlantic only upped the pressure in the second period, scoring just four minutes into the half.  The Sailfish would break down the Rollins resistance twice more, first in the 62nd minute, and again just minutes before the final whistle, as Rollins fell in their first contest in more than a year.

UP NEXT:
Rollins will return to the friendly confines of Barker Family Stadium for their next match.  The Tars will host No. 6 Florida Tech in the first home contest of their spring campaign.
