Egloff Leads Tars at Southeastern Collegiate

VALDOSTA, Ga. (March 11, 2020) – Senior Morgan Egloff was under par for the second-straight round and moved into the top-five, leading Rollins at the Southeastern Collegiate. 

Rollins finished ninth at the tournament, which featured eight teams ranked in the top-25. The Tars were 22-over with scores of 294-297-295. Top-ranked Georgia Southwestern ran away with the team title, shooting six-under. Sixth ranked Columbus State was runner-up at two-over while No. 14 West Florida finished third (+4). 

Egloff came into the day tied for ninth after shooting 73-71 in the first two rounds. He closed with a two-under 70 and climbed four spots into a tie for fifth at two-under for the tournament. Egloff's final round was solid throughout as he started on the back and hit the turn at one-under. After a double bogey on No. 1, he finished with birdies on three of the final eight holes to get back into red numbers. 

Danny Taggart tied for 39th, shooting a seven over 223. The junior shot an even-par 72 in round won, posted a 79 second round scores and finished back at even par, moving 13 spots up the leaderboard on Tuesday. 

Trystan Perkins matched Taggart, in a tie for 39th. The senior shot back-to-back rounds of 73 and turned in a 77 on Tuesday. 

Nicholas Diebel tied for 63rd at 12-over (76-74-78) and Will Hall finished in 92nd at 25-over (85-80-76). 

Rollins is back Georgia March 16-17 for the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College in Milledgeville, Ga.
