Rollins got on the board early when Brianna Ernst came home courtesy of a Gehring single. The Tars would capitalize on a Barry error in the second to take a 2-0 lead. Rollins doubled that advantage in the third when Worrell and Gehring blasted back-to-back solo homeruns to lead off the frame. Worrell would tally her second RBI in the fourth, sending home Sarah Harrison to make the score 5-0. The Tars final insurance run came in the sixth, when Rollins was again able to capitalize on a Buccaneer fielding blunder to push the score to 6-0. Worrell retired the Bucs in order in the seventh, sending the final two batters back to the bench after looking at strike three, clinching the game.
