Rollins snapped a two-match losing skid on Saturday afternoon,
knocking off No. 35 Palm Beach Atlantic, 6-3.
The Tars would leap out to a 2-1 lead after doubles, taking the
No. 2 and No. 3 matches. In the No. 2 spot, Robin
Marchione and Ahmed
Albitar downed Nicholaas Battistini and Asti Adams, 9-8 (7-5)
while Patrick
Sell and Ziad
Melhaoui beat Thomas Salmon and Pietro de Silva, 8-6, in the
No. 3 match.
In the singles portion of the match, Rollins would drop the No.
1 and No. 2 matches but took the other four, all in straight sets,
to secure the win.
In the No. 3 spot, Marchione won his ninth match of the spring,
defeating Battistini, 6-1, 6-1 with Adrian Di
Felice beating Adams, 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 4 match. Di Felice is
now 6-4 in singles on the season.
Albitar improved to 8-7 with a 6-1, 6-4 win in the No. 5 hole
while Melhaoui won his fourth singles match in a row to improve to
4-1, defeating de Silva, 7-6(2), 6-4.
The Tars will be back in action on April 12th when
they travel to Eckerd. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m.
