MILLEDGEVILLE, GA. (March 24, 2016) - Rollins dropped the series opener against the Georgia State & College University Bobcats by a score of 10-6. GSCU's offense opened the game strong and the Tars were unable to complete a late comeback. The loss is Rollins fifth in a row, and drops their overall record to 15-12, and 3-6 in Sunshine State Conference action. The Bobcats improve to 15-12 on the year.

Christopher Corbett went 1-3 on the evening, tallying two RBI for the Tars. Mike Dolan hit his third homerun of the season. The Arlington Heights, Illinois native finished the evening 1-4 with two RBI and a run scored.

Rollins pulled two back in the top of the fourth when Fairbanks reached on a walk, and advanced to third on a Mike Purcell double. A wild pitch scored Fairbanks, and Purcell came home on a Corbett single. The Bobcats responded again, putting up another four runs in fourth, giving themselves a 10-3 lead.

The Tars pulled a run back in the sixth when Fairbanks scored on a Corbett sacrifice fly. Rollins looked to complete a dramatic comeback, trailing 10-4 going into the ninth inning.
