WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 12, 2016) - No. 27 Rollins blew past No. 32 Wayne State on Saturday afternoon, 8-1.

With the win, the Tars improve to 4-3 while Wayne State falls to 4-1 in the Spring.

Rollins jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles, taking the No. 1 and No. 3 matches. In the No. 1 spot, Shannon Etten and Carli Davis downed Liv Peisachovitz and Dasha Kuznetsova, 8-4, while Emma Wookey and Fabiana Vitanza also picked up an 8-4 win, defeating Liz Ghellere and Ashley Walker.

The Tars didn't drop a singe set in singles, sweeping all six matches in dominating fashion.

Etten cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win in No. 1 singles and Davis was up 5-2 in the No. 2 match before Andreea Mitache retired.

Teresa Kaiser won 7-5, 6-1 in the No. 3 hole while Johanna Olsson coasted to a 6-4, 6-2 win in the No. 4 match. Savanna Fuller remained undefeated in singles with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 5 match and Vitanza handled Ghellere, 6-2, 6-1, in No. 6 singles.

The Tars will be back in action on Wednesday, March 16, hosting Texas A&M Kingsville at 4 p.m.
