WINTER PARK, Fla. (January 30, 2016) - Rollins overcame a slow start on Saturday afternoon to eventually down Embry-Riddle by double digits, 71-57, to snap a three-game losing skid.

With the win, the Tars pull back to an even 9-9 on the year while the Eagles fall to 6-13.

As a team, Rollins shot 44 percent for the game (24-54), including 32 percent from beyond the arc, while holding ERAU to just 31 percent shooting and caused 20 turnovers.

Sophomore Julia Ingler led the Tars with 19 points on 6-11 shooting while senior Cassidy Bailey added 13 points and five rebounds off the bench. Tianna Rosser (11 points), Jasmine Stone (10 points), and Tanaya Jones (10 points) also finished in double figures for Rollins with Jones also dishing out a team high five assists.

Sabrina Whiting led the Eagles with 15 points while Mercedes Jorge finished with a double-double, netting 12 points to go along with a game high 14 boards.

Both teams started slow on Saturday, with ERAU taking a 9-5 lead after the first quarter.

Rollins then exploded in the second quarter, outscoring the Eagles 24-7 in the period to take a commanding 29-16 at intermission. Ingler and Bailey led the Tars with eight points each in the first half while Stone chipped in five points in 11 minutes.

The Eagles would pull back within singles digits early in the third before the Tars closed the quarter with a 13-3 run to take an 19-point lead heading to the fourth.

Rollins pushed their lead to as many as 24 at the 7:31 mark of the final period before coasting down the stretch.
