LAKELAND, Fla. (September 19, 2015) - The Tars picked up their second win in a row on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 5-2 win at Southeastern.

Rollins improves to 2-3 with the victory while the Fire drop back to .500 at 3-3.

Although the lopsided final score, the Tars narrowly outshot Southeastern, 20-19, and only took four corners while the Fire took 11.

Tosan Popo led the way offensively with a pair of scores while Grant Blackhurst and Alexis Martinez finished with a goal and an assist each. Brett Durrance accounted for the fifth Rollins goal, his third of the season.

For the Fire, Jake Van Der Luit and Jacon Wendel recorded a goal each with Pedro Ivo Dias added an assist.

In goal, Julian Grundler earned the win, making seven saves in the first half before being replaced by Alec Gawronski in the second. In his first appearance as a Tar, Gawronski made a pair of saves over the final 45 minutes.

Popo opened the scoring in the 13th minute, slipping a shot under Fire goalkeeper Colby Turner after being set up by a pass from Martinez.

Southeastern would answer at the 20:52 mark of the first before the Tars rattled off four unanswered goals, two coming just over 30 second apart early in the second half, to take a stranglehold on the game.

Wendel would add one for the Fire in the 56th minute but the game was already in-hand.

The Tars will be back in action on Wednesday, September 23 when they travel to Tampa to open SSC play at 7 p.m. Fans that can't make it to the game, can follow along live through links on RollinsSports.com
