senior baseball player Seth
Brenner was selected as the pitcher of the week in the Sunshine
State Conference.
Brenner was selected SSC Pitcher of the Week from a pool of
nominees for their performances during this week of baseball.
The Marietta, Georgia native was named SSC Pitcher of the Week
after he led the Tars to a 6-1 win over Concordia (NY), throwing 13
strikeouts and allowing no earned runs through seven innings of
work. Brenner started once more against Concordia (NY) and threw
6.1 innings allowing just one earned run and striking out six. On
the week, Brenner accumulated 19 strikeouts and allowed just two
walks. The senior pitcher totaled a .88 earned run average during
the week and sports a .70 era this season.
Rollins (11-11) completes Baseball Week Tuesday, March 10 at 6
p.m. against Stonehill.
