Rollins (6-4) men's tennis team defeated Merrimack (1-3) 9-0 from
the Bert W. Martin Complex.
Rollins led 3-0 after doubles as Anton
Bettink/Adrian Di
Felice won 8-4. The Tars number two doubles team, Patrick
Sell and Jacobo
Herrero also picked up an 8-3 win. Malte
Christesen and Henning
Ander won by default.
At number one singles, No. 10-nationally ranked Anton
Bettink won in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. Bettink is 9-1 this
season and has won seven matches in a row.
Sophomore Patrick
Sell also won in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. Sell is 7-3 this year
after transfering from Quinnipiac.
No. 38-ranked Robin Marchione won 6-2, 6-0. Marchione is 6-4
this season at number three singles.
Adrian Di
Felice won number four singles in straight sets, 7-5, 6-0. Di
Felice has won three singles matches in a row and is now 5-4 this
season.
Senior Malte
Christesen won his third singles match this year in a third set
tiebreak, 6-1, 3-6, 10-3. Christesen is 3-4 this year.
Freshman Mike Santa
Lucia won by default at six singles. Lucia is 3-3 this
season.
