WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 24, 2014) - Third-seeded Rollins defeated the No. 6 seed Florida Tech, 5-1, on Thursday morning in the SSC Tournament Quarterfinal. With the win, the Tars advance to Friday's Semifinal against second-seeded Lynn.

The Tars jumped out to a commanding 3-0 after doubles, with FIT not managing much of a threat.

Will Kwok and Jacobo Herrero picked up the first point in the No. 2 match followed by Jason Alabaster and Ari Davis in the top flight match, where they defeated #23 Patrick Hernandez and Wade Ball, 8-3.

Robin Marchione and Adrian Di Felice then defeated Daniel Armellino and Bruno Rodrigues, 8-2, in the No. 3 match.

Rollins needed wins in just the No. 5 and No. 6 matches to secure the victory. First, Keegan Burger beat Jose Martinez 6-2, 6-2 and then Di Felice knocked off Wade Ball 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 5 match.
