WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 24, 2014) - The
fourth-seeded Tars defeated the No. 5 seed Florida Southern, 5-1,
on Thursday afternoon in the SSC Tournament Quarterfinal. With the
win, the Tars advance to Friday's Semifinal against top-seeded
Barry.
Rollins won the top two doubles matches, but FSC hung on to win
the third match to trail 2-1 heading into singles play.

Etten and Taylor
Brown defeated Olivia Spagnuolo and Dominique Friedrichs, 8-2,
in the No. 2 match to give Rollins the one-point lead. Elissa
DeCampli and Ashley
Rosenberg then picked up the upset win over #12 Magda Riutort
and Sabine Goge, 8-6, in the top-flight match after the Mocs had
taken the No. 3 match, giving the Tars a 2-1 lead.
In singles play, it was the Tars' No. 3, 4 and 5 singles players
to earn victories to seal the match at 5-1.

Salvador pick up Rollins' third point followed Brown and then
Etten beat Olivia Spagnuolo, 6-2, 6-1 to clinch the win.
The Tars and Buccaneers will match up in the SSC Semifinal on
