WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 23, 2014) - No. 9
Rollins hosted No. 6 Lynn on Sunday, falling to the Fighting
Knights, 7-2.
The Tars fall to an even 2-2, 0-1 in the SSC, on the year while
Lynn improves to 8-0.
Rollins found themselves in a 2-1 hole after doubles on Sunday,
their lone win coming in the No. 3 spot when Carli
Davis and Taylor
Brown defeated Alina Jane and Kim Przeszlowski, 9-8 (7-4), and
just never got it going in singles.
The Fighting Knights claimed five of the six singles matches
with Mariana
Salvador picking up Rollins' second and final point in the No.
5 match. Salvador defeated Jane, 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 10-6 to impove to
2-1 in singles on the year and 1-0 in SSC play.
Rollins will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at home
against Florida Southern in a SSC match. The Match is set to begin
at 3:30 p.m.
