WINTER PARK, Fla. (January 21, 2014) - Despite
falling to Nova Southeastern by three on Saturday, Rollins remained
ranked 13th in the latest USA TODAY Division II Coaches Poll, it
was announced Tuesday.
NSU jumped a spot to No. 3 and grabbed a first place vote. The
Tars and Sharks battled in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday with Rollins
falling 63-60. They will meet again Feb. 15 in Winter Park to close
the season series.
Bentley, with 27 first place nods, stayed atop the poll that
features five remaining unbeatens. Emporia State moved to No. 2
while 14-0 Nova Southeastern is third. Colorado Mesa and Gannon,
who suffered its first loss of the season, round out the top five.
Harding at No. 6 is the final undefeated team in Division II.
Rollins (14-3) takes a step out of Sunshine State Conference
play on Wednesday, Jan. 22, traveling to Palm Beach Atlantic. Tip
off is set for 5 p.m. at Rubin Arena. Fans can listen to all the
