WINTER PARK, (September 25, 2013) - Rollins
broke a halftime tie with six unanswered goals as the Tars beat

while the Lions recorded 12 tries.
Sickler got the scoring going in the second minute with a shot
from 45-yards out that caught Evans out of position and bounced
into the back of the net.
The Lions found the equalizer in the 24th minute as
Kabangu broke free on the left side and beat Spring one-on-one.
The game then went into the half tied 1-1.
Rollins changed tactics in the second stanza and began using
Johnson to instigate the offense. In the 58th minute,
the freshman took a through ball from Miller and slid a shot past
Evans, putting Rollins up 2-1.
Just 30-seconds later, Johnson again found space on the left
side and fired a cross to the feet of McKee who dribbled to the
right and recorded her fifth goal of the season and a 3-1 Tars
advantage.
McKee added another goal, her team-leading sixth of the year, in
the 63rd minute, taking an Azure
Dorsey pass and beating the SLU keeper to the right to put
Rollins up 4-1.
Rollins continued to fire away with Jones getting into the
action in the 80th minute, sending in a long shot after
a Miller pass to give the Tars a 5-1 lead. Miller then scored one
of her own in the 81st minute, shooting from 30-yards
out and slipping it into the upper 90.
Haimes scored in the 83rd minute, beating her
defender to the left and firing in a long shot that hooked just
inside the near post, giving Rollins a commanding 7-1
advantage.
The Lions added a late goal with Marran heading in a Roda free
kick after a Tars foul.
Rollins next opens up Sunshine State Conference play, traveling
to Melbourne and facing Florida Tech on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 5
p.m. The Tars and Tech met in Winter Park earlier in the year with
