Rollins second of four games in a week comes Tuesday afternoon
as the 22nd-ranked Tars welcome the University of Puerto
Rico Mayaguez Janes to the Alfond Sports Center. Rollins is coming
off a win over Puerto Rico Rio Piedras on Saturday while Mayaguez
fell to Florida Tech Monday night. Fans who can't make it to the

NO. 22 ROLLINS AT A GLANCE (4-1): After falling
to a top-10 opponent in its only loss of the season, Rollins
bounced back with a thrashing of Rio Piedras 76-51 on Saturday.
Twelve different players scored for the Tars, led by 14 points from
Sarah
Taylor. Ashley
Losch added 12 while Sarah
Blackburn put up 10. Rollins shot 41 percent in the game and
outrebounded its visitors 48-29.
Losch is Rollins' top scorer on the season and ranks
12th in the Sunshine State Conference with 13.4 points a
game. Sarah
Taylor is averaging 11.2 points and 7.2 rebounds a game. Sarah
Blackburn nearly has a nightly double-double, putting up 10.4
points and a SSC-leading 9.2 rebounds a game. Emmalee
Schill leads the league in blocked shots with 14, six more than
second place.
Rollins is averaging 63.8 points of offense a game and
surrendering 57 on the other end of the court.
Glenn Wilkes
Jr. (Stetson '81) is in his 28th year leading the Tars and owns
a career record of 607-199. He has the fifth-most victories among
active Division II coaches and has racked up the 10th most
all-time. Wilkes' winning percentage is the 13th-best in the
history of Division II. Rollins coaching staff of Wilkes, Eddie
Cole, Tami
Stark and Amber
Heistan have a combined 69 years experience on the Tars' bench.
Stark and Heistan were standout players for Wilkes as
collegians.
PUERTO RICO MAYAGUEZ (0-3): The Janes are in
the midst of their annual tour of the Sunshine State Conference and
are coming off a 79-48 loss at Florida Tech on Monday night. Ashley
Fermin recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Mayaguez while
Laishka Chaves added 13 points and eight boards. The Janes shot 30
percent in the game and were outrebounded 51-32.
Mayaguez has met two other Sunshine State Conference schools,
falling to Lynn 85-50 and Barry 85-48.
THE SERIES: Rollins is 10-0 against Mayaguez
all-time. They met in the Tars season opener last season with
Rollins posting a 72-49 victory. Losch led the way with 13 points
off the bench. Schill and Blackburn each totaled 11 points and 10
rebounds.
NEXT UP FOR ROLLINS: The Tars are in action
during the holiday weekend, hosting the Rollins Thanksgiving
Tournament Nov. 29-30. Rollins faces Stillman at 1 p.m. on the
first day with Davis & Elkins taking on New Haven at 3 p.m. On
the 30th, the consolation game is set for 1 p.m. and the
championship at 3 p.m.
