WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 14, 2013) - Rollins
women's basketball coach Glenn Wilkes Jr. announced Harmony High
School standout Julia Ingler has signed a financial aid agreement
to join the Tars next season.
"Julia is an outstanding shooter and passer," said Wilkes. "More
importantly though, she is a great competitor and teammate. She
will fit in right away."
Ingler is currently competing in her senior year as the shooting
guard for the Harmony Longhorns.
As a junior, Ingler was named the Osceola County Player of the
Year by the Orlando Sentinel, Osceola Gazette
co-Player of the Year and the Bright House Girls Basketball Player
of the Year for Osceola County. She was also nominated for the
Osceola County Female Athlete of the Year and was named
All-Conference by both the Orlando Sentinel and
Osceola Gazette.
Ingler sank the most 3-pointers in the state of Florida last
season (via MaxPreps) and was MVP of the Bartow Thanksgiving
Shootout and Indian Rocks Holiday Tournament.
Prior to her breakout junior campaign, Ingler was named 2011-12
Osceola County News Gazette All-Conference her junior year and
Honorable mention as a freshman.
Rollins is ranked 25th nationally and continues its
hot start to the season Nov. 15-16, hosting the Rollins Tip-off
Classic in Warden Arena. The Tars will face Palm Beach Atlantic at
Noon on Friday, Nov. 15 before a titanic match-up with
eighth-ranked Central Missouri at Noon on Saturday, Nov. 16. Fans
