WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 14, 2013) - Rollins women's basketball coach Glenn Wilkes Jr. announced Harmony High School standout Julia Ingler has signed a financial aid agreement to join the Tars next season.

"Julia is an outstanding shooter and passer," said Wilkes. "More importantly though, she is a great competitor and teammate. She will fit in right away."

Ingler is currently competing in her senior year as the shooting guard for the Harmony Longhorns.

As a junior, Ingler was named the Osceola County Player of the Year by the Orlando Sentinel, Osceola Gazette co-Player of the Year and the Bright House Girls Basketball Player of the Year for Osceola County. She was also nominated for the Osceola County Female Athlete of the Year and was named All-Conference by both the Orlando Sentinel and Osceola Gazette.

Ingler sank the most 3-pointers in the state of Florida last season (via MaxPreps) and was MVP of the Bartow Thanksgiving Shootout and Indian Rocks Holiday Tournament.

Prior to her breakout junior campaign, Ingler was named 2011-12 Osceola County News Gazette All-Conference her junior year and Honorable mention as a freshman.

Rollins is ranked 25th nationally and continues its hot start to the season Nov. 15-16, hosting the Rollins Tip-off Classic in Warden Arena. The Tars will face Palm Beach Atlantic at Noon on Friday, Nov. 15 before a titanic match-up with eighth-ranked Central Missouri at Noon on Saturday, Nov. 16.
