WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 18, 2012) - After a
SSC series sweep of Saint Leo and taking Tuesdays' game one of a
three game set with Florida Tech, Rollins (35-7, 16-3) inched up
one spot to 13th in the latest rankings released by the
Association on Wednesday.
Valdosta State (41-2) topped the NFCA Division II Top 25 poll
for the fourth consecutive week, becoming the first team since
Alabama-Huntsville on Feb. 29 to receive all 16 first-place votes.
Indianapolis (42-3) held tight at No. 2, while Central Oklahoma
(34-3) moved up one from fourth to third. Kutztown (40-1), in the
midst of a 32 game win-streak, moved up one spot to fourth this
week, while SSC foe Tampa (34-5) jumped two spots to fifth.
The Tars will finish up the three game series with the Panthers
of Florida Tech in a double header Wednesday afternoon with game
one scheduled for 2 pm. Fans can follow along on the Tars Sports

The NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll is voted on by 16 NCAA Division
II head coaches, two representing each of the eight NCAA regions.
