WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 24, 2011) -
Rollins kept its shutout streak to start the season alive as the
11th-ranked Tars downed Barry 1-0 on Saturday night.
Ali Schrader scored the game winner for the
Tars (6-0-1, 2-0-0 SSC) with a strike in the 47th
minute. Laura Piedrahita set up the play and earned the
assist.
Rollins keeper Michelle Dillingham continued her scoreless streak
and picked up career shutout number 32, gathering three saves.
The Tars dominated the shot chart, out shooting Barry 21-6 on
the evening. Rollins peppered Barry goalkeeper Melissa Toledo, who
racked up 11 saves while allowing the one goal.
The Tars will take a step out of Sunshine State Conference play
on Wednesday, Sept. 28 on the road against Flagler. Kick off is
scheduled for 7 p.m.
