WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 3, 2011) - A five-run sixth lifted the Rollins Tars past the Saint Anselm Hawks Thursday night at Alfond Stadium as Rollins scored in only two frames for the victory.

With the win, Rollins improves to 10-4 on the season, while Saint Anselm drops to 5-3.

Four Tars notched multiple hits with Chris Holloway knocking down four hits and Zach Persky, Kevin Mager, and Sean Reilly each posting a pair. Mager also drove in a season-high five batters. He now leads the team in RBIs with 15 for the season. Rollins posted 14 hits for the eighth contest this season that the Tars notch double-figure hits.

After Saint Anselm put up a two-run third, Rollins answered back in the home half of the inning as Kevin Mager hit a three-run homer over the left field wall to give Rollins a one-run advantage, 3-2.

Saint Anselm was able to escape with lone runs in the fifth and sixth to lead 4-3 heading into the bottom of the sixth.

Rollins then posted back-to-back singles to open up the sixth frame with lead-off batter Sean Reilly and Brian Lattanzi reaching base safely. Reilly then stole third for his first stolen bag of the year and scored on a Neil Hesek wild pitch. Lattanzi scored two batters later on a Chris Holloway infield single.

Josh Band scored Rollins' third run of the inning on a throwing error by Saint Anselm's second baseman. Once again, Kevin Mager came up big for the Tars as he drove in the final two runs of the inning on a two-out double to left center scoring Zach Persky and Chris Holloway.

Rollins starting pitcher Garrett Yount (4-0) got the winning nod for his fourth win of the season as the right-handed hurler tossed six innings. Will Krasne threw three innings of one-hit baseball and fanned five Saint Anselm batters to earn the save.

Hawks starter Neil Hesek took the loss for Saint Anselm as the junior threw five innings and gave up six runs.

Rollins will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as the Tars are slated to take on Saint Anselm at 6 p.m. For live action of the Tars, check out the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com.
