WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 25, 2011)- The Rollins softball team kept their undefeated mark in conference alive in front of a capacity crowd at Lake Island Park against the Lynn Fighting Knights, taking the victory 10- 0 in five innings. With the victory Rollins improves to 30-1overall and 7-0 in Sunshine State Conference play.

Rollins jumped on the scoreboard first, scoring eight runs in the second inning behind a three-run home run from Krista Rodden and a solo shot from Hope Bitzer. Christine Roser added two RBIs of her own along with Hilary Brown collecting her lone RBI. The Tars would end the inning having scored eight runs behind nine hits, including two home runs.

The Tars used the long ball again with Monica Meadows collecting a solo shot to push the lead to nine. Roser reached on a walk and was brought around by a Rodden single to cap off the scoring.

Jessica Moreland and Lawna Hunter also helped the offense tallying two RBIs of their own and went a combined 2-for-6 at the plate.
