WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 18, 2011)- The Rollins
softball team will travel to Ft. Lauderdale this weekend for an
important conference matchup with the Nova Southeastern Sharks. The
series will kick off with a single game at 7 p.m. Friday night,
before the two teams conclude the series with Saturday afternoon
doubleheader.
Rollins will look to continue to keep pace with Barry, the only
other undefeated team in the conference at 6-0. Tampa also is right
behind the Tars with a record of 5-1 and Nova Southeastern is in
fifth with a record of 1-2.
The Tars swept the season series last year with the Sharks in
Winter Park and have won seven of the last 10 meetings between the
two squads.
Rollins is riding a 24 game SSC winning streak, having not lost
a conference game since March 24, 2010.
