Sixth-Ranked Rollins Blanks Lake Superior State

WINTER PARKS, Fla. (March 1, 2011) - Sixth-ranked Rollins overmatched Lake Superior State on the courts Tuesday, cruising to a 9-0 victory.

The Tars (2-3) started with a powerful doubles performance.

Fifth-ranked Jeff Morris and Neil Clausen downed Sergiu Laza 8-4 in the No. 1 match while 24th-ranked Chris Herbert and Nick Rowlands took care of Robert Nelson and Trais Toth 8-3 in the No. 3 match. Arturo Baravalle and Sebastian Hafner teamed to defeat Jack Miller and Ryne DuShane 8-1 in the No. 3 position.

In No. 1 singles, fifth-ranked Morris blanked Laza 6-0, 6-0 while 46th-ranked Baravalle took Clayton 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 In the No. 3 match, 33rd-ranked Clausen won 6-1, 6-0 against Nelson while Hafner downed Oliveira at No. 4, 6-2, 6-0.

David Yawalkar defeated Toth 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 and Nick Nieto was a 6-3, 6-2 winner over Dushane in the No. 6 match.

Rollins is back on the courts Thursday, March 3 against Concordia (N.Y.).
