WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 29, 2010) -
After making their regular-season debut in the poll last week,
Rollins moves up three spots to No.14 in the latest
NSCAA/HendrickCars.com poll.
The Tars had a mixed week after defeating No.7 Lynn on theroad by a
score of 3-0. Rollins returned home and hosted conference foe
Florida Southern and could not muster enough offense to overcome a
slow start. Florida Southern tallied three goals against the
staunch backline of the Tars, while the offensive firepower of the
Tars tallied one.
Rollins will head to St. Augustine for a showdown with the
12th ranked Flagler Saints, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. Flagler
boasts a 6-1 record with a marquee win over then No.12 Clayton
St.
The last time these two teams met was in Winter Park and saw the
Tars pull out 2-1 victory in a very physical game. The contest saw
24 fouls called and six yellow cards issued with three going to
each team.
After Flagler, Rolllins will welcome Nova Southeastern to Barker
Family Stadium at Cahall-Sandspur Field, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m.
