No. 10 Rollins Pulls Rank on No. 24 Nova Southeastern

Rollins picked up its fourth Sunshine State Conference victory of the season, Sunday as the 10th-ranked Tars defeated 24th-ranked Nova Southeastern 8-1 at the Martin Tennis Complex.

Rollins (13-5, 4-2 SSC) used three victories in doubles to set the tone for the match.

Margaret Junker and Kayli Ragsdale won the top flight 8-2 over Karolina Porizkova and Justine Feaster while Roshni Luthra and Allie Steele teamed to down Elisa Leeder and Blake Bauer 8-4 in the No. 2 position. Holly Fleming and Stefania Tkach completed the Tars sweep with an 8-5 victory over Mary Crider and Paige Lindsley at No. 3.

In the No. 1 singles match, 21st-ranked Luthra won 6-4, 6-1 while Fleming took the No. 2 match 6-0, 6-1. Tkach won at No. 3, 6-4, 4-6, 10-3, Junker took the No. 4 match 6-1, 6-3 and Clarke Tatje was a 6-4, 6-2 winning at No. 6.

The Rollins women's tennis team will be back in action on Thursday, Apr. 1 at Embry-Riddle.
