No. 10 Rollins Blanks Palm Beach Atlantic

WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 14, 2009) – Tenth ranked Rollins flexed their muscles Saturday, downing Palm Beach Atlantic 9-0 at the Bert Martin Tennis Complex.

The Tars (2-0) rolled through doubles play and won all six singles matches in straight sets.

The nation's 7th ranked doubles team of Neil Clausen and Pablo Seijo took the No. 1 doubles match 8-4 over Krasimir Atansov and Luke Bolanos. Adrian Tan and Jeff Morris took Frankie Moulton and John Tilton 8-3 while Nick Rowlands and Bill Rockwood downed Tyler Dealy and James Buerkle 8-2 at No. 3.

Tan won the top seeded singles match over Atansov 6-4, 6-3 with 35th ranked Morris winning 6-1, 6-0 over Bolanos at No. 2. Seijo was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Dealy at No. 3 and Rowlands downed Moulton 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4.

Rockwood beat Buerkle 6-0, 6-4 in the fifth slot while Gustavo Carvalho was a 6-1, 6-3 victor at No. 6.

Rollins will be back in action on Tuesday, February 17 at Florida Tech. Competition is slated to start at 2:30 p.m.
