- Riding high off back to back wins over ranked schools, the
Rollins men's soccer team moved to No. 3 in the latest NSCAA
Division II poll, it was announced Tuesday.
The Tars (14-0-1) were ranked ninth last week, but scored wins over
then No. 19 Lynn and then No. 2 Tampa to climb up the rankings. The
Fighting Knights fell one spot to No. 20 while the previously
undefeated Spartans dropped to No. 9.
The victories also kept Rollins ranked No. 1 in the South Region
and in the driver's seat for the Sunshine State Conference regular
season championship with a 6-0 record in league play.
Rollins hosts Florida Memorial on Tuesday, October 20 at 7 p.m. in
a mid-week, non-conference match-up. The Tars will then be aiming
for at least a share of the Sunshine State Conference title at home
on Saturday, October 24 against Barry. Game time is slated for 7
p.m. with senior day activities planned 10 minutes prior to
kickoff.
