Brady scored twice and Lindsay
Giblin found the net once to lead the Rollins women's soccer
team in a 3-1 exhibition victory over the University of North
Florida Saturday afternoon.
With just four days of practice under their belts, Rollins made
an early mistake in the 14th minute with a foul in the penalty area
that was converted into a successful PK by the Osprey's Lauren
Maze.
Giblin scored the equalizer for the Tars 20 minutes later with
the assist coming from Charlotte
Murrell. Near the end of the first period, newcomer Ashley
Waplinger connected with Brady for the go ahead goal in the
40th minute. Rollins then added a cushion early in the second half
with the combination of Walpinger and Brady again hooking up for
the score.
Stephanie
Woelfel, Anna
Vargas and Michelle
Dillingham split equal time between the posts with Vargas and
Dillingham grabbing one save each.
The Rollins women's soccer team will open up their 2008 regular
season on Friday, August 29 at home against William Carey. Game
