WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 23, 2008) ' Four Tars would score in
double digits, and two would add a double-doubles on their way to a
76-64 victory over the Florida Southern Moccasins on Saturday
afternoon in Warden Arena.' The Tars advance to 16-9, 6-8 in
conference play, while the Mocs drop to 15-11, 7-8 in the SSC.
Sophomore forward Brittainy Daiger, and junior forward Ines
Teuma walked away from the game with fourteen points each.'
Daiger's 10 rebounds would provide her with her third double-double
of the season, with Teuma recording her sixth of the season as she
added 11 rebounds to her 14 points.
Sophomore fireball Jessica Pressley would lead the way for the
Tars scoring a game high 17 points, shooting 5-8 from long range
and posting a field goal average of 60 percent.' Sophomore guard
Staci Rossi would shoot a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe, with
Teuma and Daiger having equal luck as they both shot a perfect
2-2.
Jennifer Musgrove would further the score for the Tars with an
additional 10 points, and snagged a game high four steals which now
places her in the second place ranking on the Rollins All Time
Career Leaderboard behind Tammy Lewis (1992).
The Tars would come out strong against the Florida Southern
Moccasins, but in the first five minutes of the game the Mocs would
hang tight, tying up the score at 2-2 and then pulling ahead by
two.' Rollins would match-up with the Mocs to even out the score at
4, and allow Florida Southern to pull ahead at a little under 16:30
to make it 8-4 with the Mocs in control.
That would be the last time Florida Southern would hold the lead
for the remainder of the game, as the Tars exploded off of a Daiger
jump shot and would continue their momentum on a 12 point streak
that would include two successful shots from long range by junior
guard Rachael Malatesta.
Rollins would take the lead by as much as 17 points, and would
falter with a little under five minutes left in the game to allow
the Mocs to pull within one point off of two good shots from the
charity stripe by Emer Foley.' But the Tars would pull back to a
twelve point lead as the final seconds ticked off the clock to give
the team their fourth straight win in a row on their home
court.

regular season this Wednesday, February 27 against the Barry
University Buccaneers.' Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. Fans can
