MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (May 4, 2007) ' Rollins took
one match on the morning as Barry seized the other five in a
Buccaneer 5-1 win over the Tars on Friday at the Buccaneer Tennis
Complex.
The Tars (19-9) lone victory was in the No. 1 doubles match as
Brian Compton and Jonathan Gomez defeated 18th ranked Roman
Werschel and Andrew Sharnov 8-6. The remaining doubles duos had
close matches, but fell short in the end. At No. 2, Patrick
Rittenauer and Victor Rodriguez were down 5-4 but came back to win
the last four consecutive games to finish with an 8-5 win over
Pablo Seijo and Gustavo Carvalho. Also down in the match 6-5 were
Dirk Benninghaus and Manuel Lauter at number three. Three
consecutive game wins handed them an 8-6 victory over Adrian Tan
and Bill Rockwood.

Junior Lauter earned the third point of the match for the Bucs in
the number four slot with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Carvalho with
freshman Sharnov earning the fifth point with identical 6-3 sets
over the Tars' Gomez the number three. Barry's winning point was
earned by junior Rodriguez in the number five position with a 6-2,
6-4 defeat over Seijo.
