WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 13, 2006) ' Rollins College softball head coach Michelle Frew notched her 300th win at Rollins on Monday evening as her Tars defeated the Cougars of Spring Arbor University 4-1 in game one of the double header and 9-0 in game two. Coach Frew is in her tenth year at Rollins and has her Tars rolling this season as they currently stand 24-2 overall on the season.

'

Freshman pitcher Nicole Anderson (Brandon, Fla.), the Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week, got the start in the circle in game one allowing four hits, one run and one walk while striking out 10 batters. The Tars gave up the first run of the game in the third inning after the leadoff hitter Lindsay Adamcyzk walked and then advanced to second on Jenna Titler's bunt single. Cougars pitcher Janna Klassen stepped to the plate and sent a double to center field scoring Adamcyzk. Anderson then struck out the next three batters, ending the inning. In the bottom of the fourth the Tars loaded the bases for sophomore Ingrid Schumacher (Naples, Fla.) and she sent a shot over the left field fence for her first home run of the season, giving Rollins a 4-1 lead. That was all the offense the Tars would need, as Anderson held the Cougars to only two more hits, recording her thirteenth win of the season.

'

Freshman Rachel Brenneman (Cheshire, Conn.) got the start in game two, giving up only two hits and no runs or walks and striking out six for her third win of the season.
