Rollins Remains Nationally Ranked

TEMPE, Ariz. (April 17, 2019) – The Rollins Women's Tennis team remained in the national conversation, sitting at No. 50 in the newest ITA National Rankings, the organization released today.  The doubles pair of Alexandra Borg and Ola Durzynski made their first appearance in the polls, coming in at No. 43 in the National Doubles Rankings. 

The Tars evened their season record, at 10-10, defeating Palm Beach Atlantic their last time out, by a score of 4-3. Rollins currently sits sixth in the Sunshine State Conference with a 4-5 SSC mark.

Borg and Durzynski teamed later in the season, and have gone 4-1 on the first court since joining forces.  The pair have earned a 1-1 record against nationally ranked opposition, and are 3-1 in conference play.

The SSC continues to dominate the top of the poll, with Lynn, Barry, and Saint Leo sitting one, two, and three.  Nova Southeastern sits at No. 7.  Florida Southern jumped one spot to No. 18.  Embry-Riddle, Palm Beach Atlantic, and Rollins round out the rankings at No. 48, No. 49, and No. 50, respectively.

The Tars conclude their regular season later today, Wednesday, April 17, when they travel to Tampa to take on the Spartans.  First serve is set for 3 p.m.
