PREVIEW: Rollins Set for Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (October 12, 2017) – Playing in its second tournament of the week, Rollins women's golf travels to Chapel Hill, North Carolina for the 2017 Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 13-15.

The Tars completed the GolfRank Invitational in Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday and will make the quick turnaround to UNC, starting on Friday.

Rollins is the lone Division II school in the 18-team tournament that consists of the top teams from the ACC, SEC and Big Ten.

Teams will play 18 holes each day at the Tom Fazio designed UNC Finley Golf Course, which will be set up as par-72, 6379 yards.

Rollins took 16th at the event last year, posting scores of 307-312-299. Viviana Vazquez tied for 60th to lead the way. Lexie Toth tied for 64th (77-78-73) and Paige Lyle tied for 71st (74-80-76).

The Tars have played in a pair of tournaments on the season, taking third at the Princeton Invitational and fifth at the GolfRank Invitational.

Seher Atwal has a pair of top-10 finishes and leads the Tars with a 74.00 stroke average. Madison Lellyo has a 76.33 average and Toth is carrying a 76.83 stroke average.
